“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.”
—Dr. Mae Jemison, first African-American female astronaut
We Quote, historical Dr. Mae Jemison. We place limitations on our strengths, sometimes, knowingly and unknowingly, when we’re faced with acceptance or being understood by our peers or loved ones, even those we sometimes work with as well. I call it the cycle of just.
Some people just don’t see it! They don’t see your vision, or even care to think how possible it really is. Ya know, the conversation you’ve encountered that reflects feedback like:
•That’s too big of a dream
•You don’t have money to finance this or that.
•You don’t know who you are or What you want out of life.
•Just get a job, a real job.
Blah blah bull shxxt!
But it is in those times that we doubt our capabilities behind the lack of understanding of someone else imagination.
Those people don’t and probably won’t neva get us because their JUST closed minded to the dream to set you free!
So remember the words of the grate Mae, and have yourself a story uplifted 1st day of Black History.
